All Thanks to ESPN STAR Sports & Edelman for inviting me for an awesome VVIP treatment while watching the match last Sunday. They’ve been far to generous on their hospitality includes (nice seats/free flow F&B) and thus, on my side for being their no.1 supporter on their list! #WIN!

ESPN STAR Sports played hosts to more than 1,500 roaring fans at Red Carpet Avenue – Encorp Strand.

Organized by ESPN STAR Sports, the event saw zealous supporters from both sides decked out in their club’s colours building up an atmosphere with fans singing club anthems in full voice and enjoying the electrifying atmosphere. Hosted by STAR Sports’ Maxis Football Extra presenters, Patricia Knudsen and Jason Desmond (JD), fans who came earlier were entertained with plenty of lively activities and stage games before kick-off and during half-time.

Many excited fans came early to ensure the best seats for the highly anticipated live outdoor viewing party, with many coming hours before the kick-off. Early birds were entertained at booths, games, displays and contests run by broadcast sponsor Maxis, associate broadcast sponsors MYEG and Wrigley, and broadcast partner, Astro. Fans were also treated to a mesmerizing performance by football freestylers.

The blockbuster match captivated the fans, and was showcased in vivid high-definition on ESPN HD on the giant screen with surround sound. Fans witnessed Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney score the opener at the start of half time and then doubled the lead shortly after. Liverpool fought bravely and clawed themselves back into the match when Luis Suarez scored a goal back, but Manchester United proved too strong to overcome and the fans made themselves felt by chanting their team to victory.

After watching it, I would give it a 10/10 thumbs up for this video. It was quite nicely done with everyone’s co-operation to make this video a success. With all the singing, dancing, different cultures, different ages of people in one video. Reminds me so much like GLEE or HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL. Lol. In this video, I was impressed by this video because of the message underneath this video. It’s basically about the excitement and thrill of welcoming your loved ones home once again and also to welcome the new year 2012 with a BANG.

By the way, it’s really nice to see 1 Malaysia in this Flashmob by Malaysian Airlines. In general, I think it’s the first time seeing Malaysia did the best flashmob by far a mile compared to the ones which already did before.

Injunction of CNY, comes the famous Petronas heartfelt TV commercials for the holiday season. And this time around, I find that they have done a great job with the ad. Why don’t you take a look for yourselves. Every year without fail their TVCs will make me tear; this year’s no exception as well, to usher the year of the Golden Dragon. Watch!

Titled “Coming Home”, was shot in Malaysia, England, Belgium, China and India –depicts six separate yet intertwining stories of individuals around the world who, no matter how far they have come in life, stay true to their roots and tradition.

In short,  the stories revolve around a dentist posted to a rural part of India celebrating the New Year with his family in his home country via Skype, a little boy in China having a simple dinner with his family, and a young girl in London working two jobs to earn a living and yet still able to “celebrate” Chinese New Year with her extended family – her customers.

The “Coming Home” TVC will air from 17^th January until 6^th February 2012. For more exciting surprises, the public may visit Petronas’ YouTube page (www.youtube.com/user/PETRONASOfficial).

During the launch of the TVC ad last tuesday, Datuk Mohammad Medan Abdullah, Senior General Manager of Group Corporate Affair Division of Petronas had shared his thoughts or two on the TVC ad and also had launched their latest “Reimagining Energy” photography contest.

“The TVC is meant to celebrate not just the Year of the Dragon, but the spirit of perseverance, adaptability and determination as captured in each of the stories it depicts. This energy is something that should inspire us all as we navigate through the challenges we face in life, said Dato Mohammad Medan Abdullah, Petronas’ Senior General Manager of Group Corporate Affairs Division.

It is this innate spirit of resilience, energy to see opportunity, energy to go on, improve and move on while staying true to our values that we wanted to portray in our TVC. It is this same spirit that forms the core of PETRONAS’ corporate positioning, Reimagining Energy™ which emphasises and celebrates the resilience of the human spirit to excel in whatever we do. ” he added, speaking at a special media preview of the TVC.

Followed by his speech, they had a session of “Lou Yee Sang” as a symbol of auspicious for the chinese and also the World’s best lion dance and dragon dance federation, the Kun Seng Keng group was there to close the whole event with a bang and to welcome the new dragon year with on a high note.

Apart from the TVC, Petronas is also organising a photography contest themed Reimagining Energy™, in collaboration with Leica Camera AG. Prizes will be awarded to the individuals of the winning photos and these photos will also be displayed and exhibited at Galeri Petronas. In addition, Petronas will also be conducting photography workshops at selected schools and colleges, to help youths express themselves through photography as well as improve their skills. Sounds pretty good.

Right after the launch of the TVC ad, the media was then led down to the ground floor for a special lion dance performance.

“Energy is everywhere, in everything we do, and especially at this time. Started my first party of the year 2012 with a BANG! Woots. Its the Hennessy VSOP Privilege Collection NYX Launch Party @ Vertigo, The Gardens last Thursday. Hennessy had launched it’s new collector’s bottle that glows in the dark, and what better way to launch it IN the dark & watch it glow? We were given white gloves as our passes to enter the party venue. Quite an awesome idea.

But before that, we were asked to collect our passes at the Hennessy road show which is locate at Mid Valley opposite MPH and Coffee Bean.

It was compulsory to wear after we registered. And thus, all of us don’t know where’s the venue for the event at first. That’s when we will be spotted by the Hennessy Blond girls and to be escorted to the venue, which is at Vertigo.

The purpose of the white glove is to let everyone’s hands to glow in the dark with the UV light shining throughout the event/launch of the NYX.

They even have Glow in the dark tattoo services for all guests! Guess who’s back is this? lol.

The party venue at Vertgo was a little too small to hold the overflowing crowd but everyone didn’t mind as the free flow of Hennessy that matters! Despite the free flow ends before 11pm, but still. Well, I got myself an awesome table with never ending free flow drinks.

Oh yeah. Not forgetting the good music to go with it. DJ Blink heated the venue for a good 2 & a half hours! Jyahhh….

Overall, it was quite an awesome night for me. I really did enjoyed myself. Not drunk but I enjoyed the music, company, photos taking, dancing and all. #BESTPARTYEVER.

All in all it was quite a fun Sunday afternoon. It lasted till evening. Altogether, they had raised a total of RM13, 247 for EPIC Homes, an outreach program that revolves around building homes for the Orang Asli. This sum will be used in January, 2012, where EPIC Collaborative will be building a home in KKB. That’s pretty awesome yeah.
