Well as some of my friends know that I am staying at Empire Damansara, Porcelene was the first F&B outlet to open in Empire Damansara, and I was pretty pleased with the whole decor and setup of the restaurant. Introducing itself as the spot for food, being a bar and lounge too, Porcelene aims to please its patrons with nice live band music and good food. Good news for me, i can go to porcelene quite often from now onwards.

We were brought around the restaurant, comprising of three floors, each having a different theme to it.

The logo itself was really cute, depicting a blue pigeon playing the saxophone. The night kicked off with some scrumptious offerings by Porcelene, with white and red wine too, to pair with the food.

There were many dishes served that night. We had a total of 10 dishes including dessert, namely the Hahm Yoke Than Sotong, Cajun Cutlets, Premium Beef Strip Asparagus, Pizza Number Ten, Pantai Timur, Paella De El Submarino Amarillo, Signature Aglio Olio Di Nero, NYC Short Ribs, Roman Salmon Roast and their Signature Tiramisu.

So I was told Porcelene Jazz offers acid jazz music and is marketed as Malaysia’s first Acid Jazz Bar & Restaurant.

Overall Porcelene Jazz is a very nice spot to unwind with good music and food after work. Being one of the first restaurants launched in the very new Empire Damansara does help to boost up its image. The early bird catches the worm, or in this case, I think it would be the early blue pigeon of Porcelene Jazz. Do check out this place should you be in the vicinity.

Lastly, Thanks to Porcelene Jazz for the freebies. :D

Phone Review – Nokia Lumia 925.

Hi fellow readers, its been a while since ive reviewed a phone and this time around, I will be reviewing one of the latest Nokia smartphone which is the Nokia Lumia 925.
adad
Oh yes! It’s a Nokia smart phone. Not really fancy to you? No worries because I will be reviewing this device as I heard that the camera features on this device seems promising, especially in low lighting conditions.

First, here’s the outlook of the phone. Nokia Lumia 925. Thanks to Nokia Malaysia for giving me a chance to review this device.

nokia-lumia-925-launch-10_610x4071-horzdd

Before I start my short introduction towards this phone, I have a question for all smart phone users out there. Q: Will you consider getting a Nokia Smartphone nowadays despite that Android and Apple devices are the major monopoly in the market?

As for me, I was raised as a Nokia big fan since small. It was a big hit when I was younger. For those who are in the 90’s understands….

fafa

As time goes by, hand phone devices evolves and getting smarter thus it was called a smart phone. And all competing brands are so competitively competitive nowadays. You might think that the best choice right now is between Samsung and iPhone smartphones. Well I’m here to prove you wrong! You’ve forgotten the legendary, Nokia.

Well, after using this phone (Nokia Lumia 925) for almost 2 weeks, the best features in the Lumia 925 which I think suits me best as a photographer is the camera function.

One night I’ve decided to do nightlife street photography around KL to really get my hands on this device camera function. To my surprise, Nokia Lumia 925’s camera is surprisingly good in low light setting mode. I’ve captured really fantastic night scene photos. And to be frank, I’ve compared Nokia Lumia 925 with iPhone 5, Samsung Note 2 and HTC One. Same spot, same settings, side by side apple to apple comparison. I have to admit that the Nokia Lumia did surprise me on the outcome of the results!

Below are some photos captured from the Nokia Lumia 925. (Photos are taken around KL with No editing )

Spectacularly awesome low light photos. What do you think?

Nokia’s camera technology, often described as excellent, is represented in a 8.7 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, high-powered dual LED flash and the ability to take photos, as well as 1080 pixel HD video at 30 frames per second with Optical Image Stabilisation. In my experience, the camera phone functionality performed admirably, especially in low light where it picked up details in shadows that the iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2 often rendered as nearly black. For the HTC One, it will be a little competitive due to the low lighting function HTC One offered as well. But colour and saturation wise, Nokia still dominates.

nokia-lumia-925vs-htc-one-7

On the hand, you may ask for the comparison photos between Nokia Lumia 925 with iPhone 5, Samsung Note 2 and especially the HTC One. Yes I will revealed it on my next post as this is a teaser post so do stay tuned for more cause I will be reviewing on the other camera functions like the Nokia Smart Cam functions. You will be even surprise how that function may help you in your life capturing moments.

The Nokia Lumia 925 may have a camera system that is made with brilliance. Will it be a great phone to invest on?  Watch out more on this space as I will give you more insight on the phone other camera and phone features on my next post!

Cheers!

The Standard Chartered ICT (Innovation, Communication, Technology) Competition

Pets are one of my “Pet Peeves” when it comes to talking about them. I mean they are cute and all but it is a bit too much of a hassle to take care of one when you are always on the go. I mean, they poop, they eat, they need a bath, they need attention, they need affection, its like having a girlfriend to be honest!(Pun-intended). Anyways, for the sake of all mankind and for the betterness of myself, I have mustered all the confidence in me to actually adopt a pet……….*DRUM ROLL*………..

JUST KIDDING! the cat was not for sale so I am “Pet-less”, evidently. Now for some professionalism.
