WECHAT cupcakes!

Well, I am very certain and agree with the tagline used by WeChat, “The New Way to Connect” because not only we get connected easier through WeChat but during the WeChat party itself, we get connected to our old friends or meeting new friends via the live group chat that was projected on the large LED screen.

The Standard Chartered ICT (Innovation, Communication, Technology) Competition

Pets are one of my “Pet Peeves” when it comes to talking about them. I mean they are cute and all but it is a bit too much of a hassle to take care of one when you are always on the go. I mean, they poop, they eat, they need a bath, they need attention, they need affection, its like having a girlfriend to be honest!(Pun-intended). Anyways, for the sake of all mankind and for the betterness of myself, I have mustered all the confidence in me to actually adopt a pet……….*DRUM ROLL*………..

JUST KIDDING! the cat was not for sale so I am “Pet-less”, evidently. Now for some professionalism.

The Standard Chartered ICT (Innovation, Communication, Technology) Competition invites University/College/Polytechnic students and employees of Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia, its subsidiaries and Scope International to submit their ICT related innovative ideas in a form of a business proposal.

What’s the BEST way to protect your phone from WATER?

As the title stated. What’s the BEST way to protect your phone from WATER?

I cannot promise that it’s waterproof, to me it’s more like water safe. Whether you were pushed into a pool all of a sudden, while you are drunk, just dropped a device in the toilet bowl or in the sink or getting caught in the rain while using your smartphone or tablet is more than an inconvenience, it can be very dangerous to you devices. You wouldn’t believe it, a few drops of water getting into your smartphone or tablet could be a data disaster, causing the device to fail, overheat and simultaneously voiding the warranty. Well I can tell you that your phone has a slim chance of recovery, as you know that Liquid and technology don’t mix. Truestory?

So, I was mentioning what’s the BEST way to protect your phone from WATER?

Photobucket

There’s this new water-repellent nanotechnology treatment called Liquipel, designed to make electronic devices WATERSAFE. Not WATERPROOF. Thanks to Liquipel I get to have the treatment for my phone for free to review. HEH! Just to try out how awesome is the technology. All along I thought it was a waterproof casing or somesort of cover but it’s NOT.

The Liquipel process applies by putting your device into a big machine, suck out all the pressured air and after putting a water-repellent nano molecule coating into the inside and outside of a device for 45 mins to provide optimal protection against damage caused by accidental contact with water. The coating is 1000-times thinner than human hair, and thus invisible to the naked eye. Liquipel’s protective coating is permanently bonded to your device for the life of your electronic device. How cool is that?

Photobucket

Actually, the idea behind Liquipel is to protect your phone from accidental water or liquid exposure. They don’t intend or recommend going swimming with it for long hours or intentionally exposing it to water just to show it off to your friends. But you actually can (which im always being so heart headed to do so) lol.

Yes it actually works! It can withstand on water splash or full-immersion into the water. Watch the videos below. (Which I have did it to my phone as well)

IMPORTANT: If you accidentally spill water onto your phone by the charging point or the ear phone jack hole, please do leave it to dry for a few hours first before charging your phone. The reason towards it is to prevent from the device being electrocuted. Make sure your phone is left to dry first before doing anything else.

Liquipel isn’t meant for show-offs. It’s meant as an insurance policy against accidental liquid exposure that would otherwise see your phone off to technology heaven. Bare in mind, it’s not a device you can dunk in a glass of water or etc to show off to your friends, you might get the whole point wrongly. You can be stubborn, but there’s no warranty for your device if it really spoil.

Conclusion,

Should You Buy It?

I would say YES. It’s very essential to protect your phone!

The nano coating technology bonds to all internal and external components of a device on a molecular level, and LQP Asia Sdn Bhd is proud to be the first and only company in Malaysia to offer this technology. To give your electronic device the Liquipel treatment, just bring your device to the Liquipel service centre at Hicom Glenmarie Industrial Park or to any one of its partner outlets at 1 Utama, Digital Mall or Low Yat Plaza, Kepong Jusco,OscarWangsa Maju and Oscar Rawang.

Now, worry free on your phone damage from water.

Prices start from RM189 for smartphones (iPhone, Samsung, HTC) & RM239 for tablets.
For more info on Liquipel, call 03 5567 9928 or visit www.lqpasia.com.

PS: You can find out more live demonstration at this weekend PC Fair located at KLCC Convention Centre this 7,8 and 9 December 2012. Liquipel Booth will be at G Floor, Booth 232. Also you can contact me as well for demonstration. :)

Cheers!

Special Unveiling Event By Shell V Power.

As you all know that I’ve been instagraming a lot lately about LEGO’s. LOL. At last, I have completed the collection last weekend when Shell Malaysia had a promotion and roadshow at Sunway Pyramid.

Yes, it was a easier way for the public/fans to own the whole LEGO car models collection including the figurines. You can just purchase all together one shot at the roadshow event, no longer need to purchase it at the Petrol Station. Thus the long queue on Saturday and Sunday @ Sunway Pyramid.

Photobucket
I attended the event on early Saturday Morning. Yeahhh… I was so excited to go cause I do love LEGO’s. LOL. I lifted my hands up and did what Mr. Lego did.

Photobucket

The highlight of the roadshow was the life sized F1 Ferrari 150° Italia made from LEGO bricks. It’s underneath the white cloth as you can see below. The first ever of it’s kind in Shell’s history, which took app six months to design, was built by a team of LEGO experts in Cezh Republic.

Let me show you The Exclusive Live size Ferrari F1 Lego Launch Gambit video which I’ve recorded using my new Note 2 *ahem*. It’s damn nice. Recorded from front seat. With all the animation, the effects the lightnings. A job well done for those who prepared this.

PhotobucketSimple as it looks from far, its a delicate and patient piece of work of 6 months. It was a hit with both old and young peeps queuing up to have their pictures taken with it. And the younger (and lighter) ones even sat on/in it.
